Creamy Orange Chia Pudding

 

Ingredients

  • 2 cups milk (dairy or plant-based)
  • 6 tablespoons chia seeds
  •  Juice of 1 large  orange
  • 1 teaspoon orange zest
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  •  Orange slices for garnish

Equipment

  • Mixing bowl
  • Whisk or spoon
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Small glass jars or serving bowls

Instructions

Step 1: Mix Ingredients

Dairy & Eggs

In a medium bowl, combine:

Whisk well.

Step 2: Add Chia Seeds

Stir in the chia seeds.

Mix thoroughly to prevent clumping.

Allow the mixture to sit for 5 minutes, then stir again.

Fruits & Vegetables

Step 3: Chill

Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.

The chia seeds will absorb the liquid and create a thick pudding.

Step 4: Serve

Divide into jars or bowls.

Garnish with fresh  orange slices or extra zest.

Serve chilled.

Recipe Notes

  • Almond milk and coconut milk work beautifully in this recipe.
  • Add more milk if you prefer a thinner consistency.
  • The pudding keeps well in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
  • Fresh oranges provide the best flavor.
